Let me tell you a little bit about me, the founder of GrowBiz
My name is Daisuke.
I was born in a small country town in Japan called Iwate where my parents and grandmother taught me early on the values of respect, integrity, and honesty — values that I use to inform every aspect of my life.
But I’m getting ahead of myself.
When I was 15 years old, I moved to Sunshine Coast, Australia where I finished school in Woombye, got my first job, and launched my first business (if you must know, it was a speed-dating event business).
Unfortunately, that business ended in miserable failure.
Why, you ask?
Marketing is crucial to the success of any business regardless of how great the service or product is. Had I known that sooner then maybe my first business wouldn’t have ended the way it did. But no matter. I learned my lesson. I decided to sharpen my marketing skills by reading tons of books and attending dozens of seminars. Pretty soon I was marketing for local businesses and white-labelling for other marketing agencies.
You see, I really enjoyed the work but at the same, it made me feel sick to my stomach. This is because I saw firsthand how many agencies didn’t really have their client’s best interests at heart.
